Located in the beautiful coastal city of Seal Beach, CA, right on the bustling block of Main Street, SB Shoppe is a local legend that has been a part of the Reyn Spooner' ohana for over 20 years. We sat down with owner Shirley Vanfossen to talk about how she got started and get her recs for exploring the historic Old Town Seal Beach.

When Shirley opened SB Shoppe in 2000, she didn't quite know what to stock and initially relied on customer feedback about the items they wanted to see in the store. Within the first few months of opening, she received over a dozen requests for Reyn Spooner and placed her first order with us. Today, Reyn Spooner continues to be the number one selling Aloha shirt brand in the store, and SB Shoppe is proud to offer the largest selection of Spooners in Orange County.

Quick to smile and share a laugh, Shirley and her team have built a loyal customer base with exceptional customer service that makes visiting the shop feel more like visiting close friends as opposed to shopping. With a wide selection of souvenirs, t-shirts, and of course Spooners – we highly recommend you stop by and see Shirley, Charlotte, Carla, and Skylar if you're ever in the area.

While SB Shoppe is undoubtedly a highlight of Seal Beach, there are a ton of things to do and see in this cute beach town nestled between Long Beach and Huntington. We asked Shirley for her recommendations for a perfect Seal Beach day trip.

Shirley's Seal Beach Recommendations

Spend the day exploring the town on foot. Walk up and down Main Street and head out on the pier for spectacular views of the ocean! You can also rent bikes and hit the San Gabriel River Bike Trail to take in the gorgeous scenery.

After, I recommend grabbing a bite to eat at one of my favorite local establishments.

Walt's Wharf

Located just up the block from SB Shoppe, stop by this classic restaurant for friendly service and fresh seafood.

Taco Surf

This casual spot is another must-see Main Street stop, this is the perfect place to grab some delicious fish tacos.

Angelo's Italian Deli

If you're craving an Italian sub after a long day in the sun, Angelo's has got you covered with fresh-made sandwiches, hot dishes, and even cannolis!
